Dustin was born and raised in Fair Oaks, and it was his dream since he was 16 years old to open a financial services business in his hometown. He pursued a degree at Sonoma State University specifically to be a financial advisor and graduated in three years with a degree in Business Administration, a concentration in Finance, and a minor in Economics. Immediately upon graduating, Dustin entered the finance world, becoming the youngest financial advisor to ever be hired at Edward Jones.

In 2004, he knocked on over 6,000 doors in Fair Oaks to build his business. Then in 2010, he completed an Executive MBA program with California State University – Sacramento. After serving his clients for almost ten years in the financial planning business, he became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner in 2013. Fulfilling a lifelong dream, Buck Wealth Management was founded in 2015 and that year was also the year Dustin partnered with the "No. 1 Independent Broker-Dealer in the U.S (Based on total revenues, Financial Planning magazine 1996-2021)", LPL Financial, to provide his clients with an independent approach to wealth management.

While completing his MBA, he met his future wife, Christine. They have a vivacious five-year-old daughter, Jocelyn, and their Great Pyrenees rescue dog, Eve. Dustin has always had a passion for giving back to his community and currently serves as an Ambassador for the Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce, teaches financial literacy to local schools through Junior Achievement, is a mentor for students at Meroki High School in Fair Oaks, and is a proud member of the Rotary Club of Fair Oaks. Dustin still holds the title of the youngest ever Honorary Mayor of Fair Oaks, having served in 2007-2008. He has served multiple terms as a Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce Board Member, is a current Board Member at North Ridge Country Club, has volunteered for the U.S. Army as a “Center of Influence” in Sacramento, served as a Chair for the American Cancer Society’s Fair Oaks “Relay for Life” for multiple years, and more. Along with other Certified Financial Planners who are passionate about giving back, Dustin can often be found volunteering at the Financial Planning Days events around Sacramento.

Dustin also has a passion for helping the low-vision community. Like his grandmother did for many years, he volunteers with the "Swing For The Blind" through the Society For The Blind in Sacramento to teach those who have low or no vision to play golf. He was instrumental in bringing the 76th annual United States Blind Golf Association National Championship to Sacramento in 2022 (which was the first time in history the championship was held in California). Dustin is a co-chair and founding member of the Strategic Council at the Foundation Fighting Blindness, which provides consultation and problem-solving to executive leadership. Dustin also volunteers to provide free financial planning support to many in the low-vision community.

In his downtime, Dustin enjoys traveling to Disneyland with his girls, playing golf with his Dad every weekend at North Ridge, barbecuing ribs for his friends, trout fishing in Desolation Wilderness, and coaching his daughter's soccer team. Dustin has also always had a passion for British cars, usually orders chow mein whenever it is on the menu, and has seen every episode of Shark Tank.

Jocelyn Buck

Happiness Manager

Jocelyn, or as she prefers, Joss, is a second grader at Sacramento Waldorf and has a heart of gold. She works part-time at Buck Wealth Management and can often be found restocking the coffee bar, taping drawings and paintings to the walls in the office, or telling jokes to keep her co-workers entertained. Her Dad, Dustin, often jokes with clients that, "Joss will likely be their financial advisor in 30 years," and there might be some truth to that.

In her down time, Joss is usually found at school running her thriving "gem" (rocks) business during recess, jumping in muddy puddles, or playing with her dogs Eve and Cody. Joss is always smiling while she participates in soccer, basketball, gymnastics, ballet, horse back riding, along with other activities. Like her parents, she is a busy girl!
